Do I need to sign for my delivery?Updated 10 months ago
Items delivered by a courier will need to be signed for by the person at the residence. It does not necessarily need to be the addressed person to sign.
If an "Authority to leave (ATL)" is given then the courier may leave the item if it is safe to do so, otherwise it will be taken back to the courier depot. Heavy items over 30kg cannot be left as it will require your assistance.
Smaller items shipped with Australia Post do not require signage if the items can be left at a safe location.
Drivers will not leave the freight if it is not safe to do so and will take it to the Local Post Office. Customers will need to present an ID for collection at the Post Office.
